Lab Results Incorrectly Classified as "Removed Records"

I have several accounts synced with my Apple Health, notably Labcorp and Quest Diagnostics. These synced accounts feed lab results into the Health app under Lab Results as they should, with one exception.

The Health app has always done a bad job of syncing the Quest Diagnostics results, creating multiple results on the same day. I believe this is because Quest Diagnostics provides an "update" each time partial results are reported. For example, if a Blood Tests 1-6 are ordered, Quest Diagnostics will provide 5 partial results updates and a final result update, which causes the Health app to interpret this as Blood Tests 1-6 being run six times, creating six results for each under "Lab Results." This was annoying, but predictable.

However, within the past week or so, this handling of these mistakenly duplicated results has changed. Now, the Health app just classifies all duplicate results (AND THE ORIGINAL RESULT) as "Removed Records." These records are only visible when selecting "All Data" then scrolling to the bottom, then selecting "Removed Records."

This is a terrible approach! Instead, using the above example, the initial one of the six duplicate results should be retained. Instead, Apple just tosses them all! This makes tracking health issues a challenge as the "Removed Records" no longer appear in chronological order and can't be viewed alongside the other results.

Please address this issue, or undo this poor data handling decision. Quest Diagnostics is a massive company and I imagine tens of thousands of users are affected, possibly without even knowing, given how the results are hidden under "Removed Records."

If LabCorp and all the other records are being handled correctly, that would lead me to wonder if the problem isn't in the way Quest Diagnostics formats their reports. It is likely that Quest Diagnostics needs to fix this. It's also possible they have little interest in doing this and will blame it on Apple.

Apple doesn't read here in this user-to-user forum for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let them know your thoughts here:

I've also been having this problem lately. Just had to remove and re-add the account for the third time.

It would be nice if I could have control over what's removed or not, or at least restore them manually somehow. I've also had those duplicate results appear as well when partial results are issued, and it would be nice to manually choose to archive some in those cases.

In general, I always assumed this was a copy of my records that were being kept locally after they were downloaded, and I didn't realize I could have years of data removed in an instant if an account makes a change. It also makes me worried about what happens if a provider decides to stop supporting Apple Health someday. I'll have to submit this via the feedback form too.
