How to communicate with Android users via Apple Watch using WhatsApp or Messenger?

Apple Watch & Android Messaging (WhatsApp/Messenger):



1. No Official Full Apps: Are you aware that WhatsApp and Messenger don't have full, standalone official apps on Apple Watch that mirror the iPhone experience (like iMessage does)?
2. Notifications Only (Default): Are you primarily getting messages via notifications, allowing basic replies (quick reply, dictation, scribble)?
3. Third-Party WhatsApp? Have you tried apps like WatchChat 2 which allow more features (full chat history, new chats, voice messages) by mirroring your iPhone's WhatsApp? (This is your best bet for WhatsApp).
4. Messenger Limitations: For Messenger, are you comfortable with mainly notification-based interaction, as dedicated Watch apps for it are often limited or absent?

Neither WhatsApp nor Messenger have a Watch version.

Since those messaging apps are reliant on both parties in the conversation using the same app, you'll have to ask your non Apple friends what app they use.
