Cannot automate screen recording on iPhone

I am trying to make a video recording of the screen when launching an app to help diagnose an intermittent start up crash in the app. I forget to always go to the control center before starting the app enough times that I thought a shortcut & automation would help.

However, I find no way to make a screen recording when an app launches using Shortcuts. I was able to make a screenshot on app launch but not a screen recording.

Telling Siri to record screen brings up a link to a page on Apple telling you to use the control center.

Does anyone have a suggestion for this?
