Cant manually delete rcs business message without swiping left

I am on ios 18.5 on iphone se 3rd generation and I noticed 2 things. 1 when I got text alert that I paid my bill from verizon it no longer shows the number 89 whatever the number is, instead it shows that its from verizon. As in rcs business message. Then when I went to manually delete the text I hold the text down select more and when I went to delete it the message didnt delete. I had to swipe left for the text to be deleted. Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe its a text or messaging app glitch/bug in ios 18.5
