New iMac setup. Data erased. How can I get WiFi back

I had ordered from Amazon for husband but they setup in my name since I bought. Noticed when I tried to transfer his win10 pc, it was confused so the only way was to erase & set up again but lost its ability to use WiFi apparently cause keeps asking me to connect. How can I get this back please? Thanks

Who are "they"?

A Mac should be set up by its owner or whomever intends to use it, in this case your husband. If someone else set it up on his behalf, erase it and start over. Follow these instructions: What to do before you sell, give away, trade in, or recycle your Mac - Apple Support.

Depending on how it was set up you may not be able to comply with those instructions, in which case you should return it for a full cash refund.
