Blank images on my iPhone 16 Pro Max Messages

I have sent several photos and videos to people in Apple Messages and in a day or two the image that was there shows a white image instead of the actual image. I have checked storage (not full) and settings but can’t seem to figure out why they are going blank. Can someone please help me remedy this?
