1. Can’t Access Emails Because Storage Is Full?
When iCloud storage is full, Mail and other services can stop working. Since you’ve purchased more storage:
➤ Force a Sync Refresh:
- On iPhone or iPad:
- Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Mail – toggle off, then back on after a few seconds.
- On Mac:
- Open Mail, then go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts and make sure iCloud is enabled.
- You can also check iCloud.com in your browser to access urgent emails immediately.
2. Storage Still Full After Deleting Photos?
Make sure the photos are actually deleted from iCloud:
➤ Empty "Recently Deleted" Album:
- Open Photos app > Albums > Recently Deleted
- Select all and permanently delete.
➤ Disable iCloud Photo Library Temporarily (if needed):
- Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos
- Toggle iCloud Photos off if you don’t want them syncing anymore.
3. Deleting Old WhatsApp Messages (Hidden Ones)
Even if they're not in your main chat feed, old messages or chats may still be stored in WhatsApp’s backup or archives.
➤ Delete Archived Chats:
- Go to WhatsApp > Chats > Archived
- Swipe left on old chats > Tap Delete to remove them permanently.
➤ Clear Chat Data from Storage:
To mass delete media or message types:
- Open WhatsApp > Settings > Storage & Data > Manage Storage
- Tap into any contact/thread with large data > Select items > Delete (or “Free Up Space”).
In case you still need extra breathing room:
- Delete old backups:
- Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups
- Select old devices > Delete Backup
- Messages in iCloud:
- If you use Messages in iCloud, old attachments might take up space.
- Settings > Messages > Review Large Attachments > Delete.
