re installing Mac OS Mojave no disk to save it to

Having trouble with restarting with a question mark. Restarted in start up mode and trying to re install the macOS Mojave. But there is no disk to select to install it to.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.7

In Recovery Mode first open Disk Utility and erase the internal or some external disk as APFS (GUID). Then open macOS installer and choose that newly erased APFS volume as the target.


If the internal disk is broken and not visible, replace it or get an external SSD (not old spinning HDD because those are way too slow as APFS format) and use it.
