How do I transfer music from my Mac Pro to my iphone 11 with ios 18 without using sync or icloud

I have been using itunes 12 on High Sierra to transfer music to my iphone 11. With the ios 18 update I can no longer connect to itunes. I do have two Mac Pro models and the other has Sequoia. Apple music can see my iphone but I do not see any way to transfer music from the Mac to the phone. No way to mac playlists etc.

I do this manually because my collection of music (CD quality) is over a TB.

So is there a way to get the music I wish to transfer on to my iphone without using Sync or icloud?

If I need a third party app to do this are there any recommendations? I have used imazing for converting files formats but never for file transfer.

Any help is appreciated. Really tired of the music that is on my phone.

Thanks

On a Mac with Sequoia, you can transfer music using the Finder, not the music App. That is still known as sync and works much the same as iTunes did.

On the Mac with High Sierra, what happens when you connect the iPhone?

If it request an update when you connect the iPhone, then accept it, it's a firmware update so iTunes cannot connect to the iPhone, not a macOS or iOS update.

If it doesn't do anything, try restarting the Mac and the iPhone and trying again.
