I have two Apple IDs. I want to add the email address from my oldest ID to my phone logged in with my current Apple ID so I don’t miss any emails. Is this possible?

You can add multiple email accounts on your iPhone in the Mail app if that is what you are talking about. You cannot, however, have 2 separate Apple Accounts signed in on the same device. Mail is handled by the Mail account, so the reception of mail has to do with what accounts you have added to the app. Add an email account to your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
I appreciate the response. I just wasn’t sure if there would be an issue adding an email used with a different Apple ID.
The Mail app does not look at it as an Apple (ID) account, it just looks at it as a mail account that it will use to send and receive mail.
Mail is handled separately from the account signed into your device.You could if you wished, have an account signed into your device for everything else but not have it show in the Mail app at all.
