Why is Siri not giving contact names for WhatsApp messages on AirPods and in the car?

Siri only says ‘someone’ is messaging in WhatsApp . No longer gives a name. This is both with AirPods and also in the car. Any advice? Is this an Apple problem or a WhatsApp problem? Advice please. It’s really annoying.

Siri does not prompt for messages when attempting to send messages in CarPlay Siri works fine, except when I'm connected to CarPlay and ask Siri to send a message, the recipient's name comes up but there is no prompt for "what would you like to say." If I use the steering wheel button, I get the prompt. This has been happening since the iOs 18.1 update, still happening with iOs 18.3. I have an ongoing case with Apple Support, but no answers yet. Has anyone else had a similar problem and maybe found a fix?
