How to resolve Apple TV app playback issues on LG TV?

Using the Apple +TV app I can bring up the home page displaying all movies, series, and other content. After choosing a product to watch, it displays the icon that indicates the content is loading but the content doesn't appear. A message does appear saying "Unable to play. There is a problem playing this video. Try again or troubleshoot the issue, trying the troubleshoot option results in OK Internet connected, OK Connected for playback, Checking streaming Video. Troubleshooting complete. Try again later. it I try again it always goes through the same cycle over again. The app is on latest update as is LG TV set. All other apps, Netflix, Max. Prime Vide etc. work flawlessly. What the Heck is going on?

if it was me then I would pull the plug on tv and wifi router and let them start up again and try again
