Is Apple Watch Double Counting Resting Calories During Workout

Hi, I noticed that when I complete a workout, the watch shows both Active Calories and Total Calories For example, a recent workout showed around 700 Active Calories and around 900 Total Calories, which means 200 were from resting metabolism during the workout, and it adds the number of total calories to the “Active Calories” tab in my health app. But in the Health app, I also see my daily Resting Energy listed separately, which is around 2000 calories. So my question is:

Is Apple Watch adding the resting calories from workouts on top of my daily Resting Energy? In other words, if I burn 900 total calories in a workout (with 200 being resting), and my Resting Energy for the day still shows 2000, am I actually burning 2200 resting calories total?
