Hi I recently change my HDD after a failure with a new ssd and I can't find a way to install macos on it. I only have a pc with windows as a second machine and I can't find a way to make a usb installation disk.

Try if that old Mac supports Internet Recovery via Option-Command-R boot (then log in to Wi-Fi, this might take 20-30 minutes).

Thanks for the info, I manage to make a Bootable usb installer and after I try to connect to apple servers for El capitan dmg download I get a 403 error witch I see is common reading other reports here because the apple server doesn't allow access. Anyway I manage to make a USB full installer with Lion os version and from Lion I updated my Mac to El Capitan . Thanks for the info anyway.
