32GB memory card has only 256MB after formatting on a Mac mini

I try to format my MemoryCards (32GB) on my new Mac Mini but they all give me only 256Mb.

Up grading memory on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Mid 2015) as standard it has 8gb installed on 2 port of 4 gb, compared to buying a newer i mac i m trying to speed it up bu upgrading the memory to 4 x 8gb so 32 which i believe is the max. my question is, do i need to do anything thing special prior to removing the old memory cards to installing the new cards

Reading XQD Cards Why does my Mac Mini Pro M2 read my 32gb XQD card immediately when the reader is plugged into the USB port.... but it does not immediately recognize a 128gb XQD card?

That looks like it is actually 256MB.

Where did you get these cards exactly?

Are you absolutely certain they are 32GB
