How to simply change a Concert to Mono vs Stereo without making it two separate mono channels?

A "quick & dirty" way would be to add a Gain plugin to your (stereo) output channel, with the 'Mono' button selected:

This is what I get when using v3.7.1 starting from the Keyboard template ( using the Mac built-in audio for Output)
Before:

The result is mono output across both output channels: connect 1 wire to the PA/amp and you are done.
I suspect that you are switching the Output channels to mono?

I'm aware of this but on my Mainstage concert I do not have the ability to add a plug in on the Master channel strip.
and when you add a game plug-in to the output one and two channel and engage it, it creates two separate channels and output one and then output two
