Dock not appearing after deleting "cDock", an app for customizing your dock

I used cDock on macOS 10.15.7 and now my Dock background and hover titles are gone, even after resetting everything. Also, I do not want to wipe my data fixing it. Any solutions?

Dock and Full Screen - slow to appear on mouse over Is there some trick to getting my dock to consistently appear when I mouse over it in full screen mode? It's driving me nuts! Sometimes when I mouse over it pops up and other times it only pops up after several attempts and other times it just doesn't. It really makes using my Mac laborious when I am in full screen mode. I can't make it permanently visible in full screen mode either. I searched these forums and someone else asked to make the dock permanently visible and the only answer he got was "why would you want to?" Well I have a reason why... Problems with the Dock Since I've upgraded to macOS Monterey 12.5 I'm having problems with the Dock. I have it set to appear at the foot of the screen and to automatically hide and show but it's not appearing at all if I hover the mouse over the bottom of the screen or use Option-Command-D. I did initially have to show it at the right of the screen so I could use uBar at the foot, and then it partially appeared at the right and I couldn't change it at all. I've tried restarting up in Safe mode to see if this would clear the problem but to no avail. I'm no longer using uBar.

dock not hiding problem solved I've had this problem for four years since I updated to macOS Catalina, and it has been eating away at my mind and time. When navigating around Desktops (spaces), the Dock would randomly appear even though it was set to hide automatically. It was especially noticeable in full-screen spaces. I have just managed to solve the problem and would like to share it with you. The way to do it is to right-click on the Dock and click `Turn Hiding On`. Do you think it's a joke? I thought so too. Even though `Automatically Hide and Show the Dock` was turned on in the settings, another hidden, insidious culprit was lurking. I feel for all of you who have struggled with this issue. And I am completely dumbfounded by developers who don't love macOS.

You can always reset the dock to it's "out of the box" default settings from the Terminal:

defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall Dock
