Internet recovery for Mojave sticks on 7 minutes remaining and then locks up

Several times now, I’ve tried to erase my disc and then reinstall Mojave via internet recovery. It gets stuck every time showing me that 7 minutes remain and after I leave it long enough, it just locks up. Any ideas on getting around this? Thanks.

2010 MacBook Air Internet Recovery Hi, so I'm attempting to reset my MacBook after installing a new drive and I have to go the route of Internet recovery. Strangely it won't download the newest OS, High Sierra, but Lion instead. Oh well, I'll just update it later after the install is complete. So I'm able to get to the Lion installer and then after about 20 minutes of downloading components it gets to a minute left. After that minute is up, it just restarts at 20 minutes again. It's been about 2 hours now and it's continuing to restart the timer over and over again. Is this normal or what? It just gets down to a minute and then starts over. I've PRAM reset and tried other options on booting into internet recovery, even changing it to the correct time in the terminal from the Lion installer. What is going on?

Recovery every time triangle exclamation. 2018 Mac to shredder? Recovery repeatedlyends angle exclamation point dozens if times trying every way . Long 4-5 mo. history. Upgraded Mojave to Monterey five mos ago resulting no internet. Tried EVERYTHING- pls don't suggest any of the known ways to set up internet- I've tried all of them dozens of times. Every other device here connecting normally, TV's, this PBP, phones, etc. Tried 2 other older routers all same. Erased startup drive. Used Apple built bootable installers USB Ventura, Monterey, Catalina, Mojave. Starting every way all go to Recovery (which did connect internet) ending in triangle exclamation point with NO opportunity whatever to proceed to anything. All startup key combos incl finally old startup holding C down- same. I'm really tired of this and next step will be Mac Mini to shredder. Extremely unhappy about this- been exclusive Mac user and administrator in my 6-Macs newspaper business since 1978. Is there another way to force it to startup from the bootable installer drive? Can we prevent it from starting Recovery? Final solution will be Mac Mini to shredder. The Apple upgrade to Monterey has destroyed it.

internet recovery problem i have my MacBook pro 2018, i erase the operating system , now i am trying to re install the mac os system. but its continually restarting. and its stuck on internet recovery after that its stuck on mac start and unable to connect wife , and then quickly restart and again on internet recovery .please advise

Are you reinstalling macOS over top of itself, or are you performing a clean install by first erasing the drive?

Is this 7 minutes remaining for the first "copy" phase of the install, or is it for the second phase after the reboot?

Also, why are you reinstalling Mojave? If you were having OS issues before, then those same issues could be why you are unable to reinstall macOS.
