iCloud Photos not syncing from mac or from iPhone

I recently purchased an iCloud+ plan with the intention of storing all my photos using iCloud Photos. However, I am experiencing persistent issues with syncing. On my iPhone, the Photos app continually displays messages such as "Syncing" or "Syncing X photos", but the process never completes.

Additionally, I attempted to upload some photos manually from my Mac, but I consistently receive an error stating that the images could not be uploaded.

I have ensured my devices are connected to the internet and have sufficient storage available. Despite this, the issue persists.

Could you please assist me in resolving this matter? I would greatly appreciate your support.

I'd first be suspicious of the pictures that are not transferring. Can you identify the problem pictures by comparing with what you see at iCloud.com? Were these pictures taken with the iPhone camera, or were they added from another source? In Photos, on either the Mac or the iPhone, can you go into Edit mode on these problem pictures?

Do you use "Optimize Storage" for Photos on the phone or on the Mac? What OS is the Mac running?

Keep in mind that, since syncing uses the battery, and since lots of people are very anxious about battery drain, the iPhone will avoid syncing when not plugged in. And since syncing uses processing power, and people hate slow downs, the iPhone will avoid syncing while you use it. And since syncing requires bandwidth, the iPhone will avoid syncing when the internet connection is weak.

So, if you want faster syncing, then find good wifi, plug the phone in, and leave it alone. All this applies to a lesser extent for the Mac.
