Apple Watch Changes Time Zones When Disconnected – Please Add Manual Time Option

Dear Apple,

I’m experiencing an issue where my Apple Watch changes to a different time zone whenever it’s disconnected from my iPhone. Even though my iPhone is set to a manual time zone, this doesn’t prevent the watch from switching time zones once the connection is lost.

This behavior causes problems when I’m traveling, in remote areas with no signal, or when my iPhone is off or out of range. It affects alarms, calendar events, and overall usability.

I’ve seen that this issue has persisted across multiple watchOS versions, and many users have reported similar problems in forums over the years.

Please consider adding an option to manually set or lock the time (or time zone) on the Apple Watch itself, independent of iPhone sync. This would be incredibly helpful for people who travel, work offshore, or are often in areas with poor connectivity.

For context, I’m running the latest version of watchOS, and I’ve already tried restarting both the iPhone and the Apple Watch. The issue still persists.

Best regards,

Markus
