How do I stop my Apple Music automatically playing songs on iPhone 16?

I have iphone 16. I have the latest OS. I'm posting because NOTHING stops the music from playing other than taking the APP off the phone. I have automatic airplay off, general settings music off, infinity off within the app, I have done everything including creating a script that humorously shows up on the homescreen that says it's running WHEN THE MUSIC STARTS PLAYING. And yes, it is set to default to any bluetooth device that is connected. So, has anyone ever actually figured out how to make this stop? Anyone?

it's happening when I put in third-party earphones. Doesn't happen THANK GOD in the car since creating the script. It will work for awhile (the latest was actually about 4 months, a record), and now it's back to playing whenever I put in the earphones. I only use earphones to make phone calls; I don't listen to music in them. I'm old. I prefer things like speakers. :-)

BT and if only it were that simple. As I said in my posting, I have tried all those things. That wasn't in my original because it would fall under "is it plugged in?" as the very first, simple, straightforward obvious place to start. I've created a script. That's have far along I have gotten. Your suggestion, all the other obvious setttings ie airplay, handoff, the "infinity" turned off, etc. Created an automation/shortcut that is called actual script called "When Gary's iphone is connected to any Bluetooth device".... and yet .... there it is.... the music plays when the earphones are connected. However, and here's the tricky part. I have two different sets of earphones, from two different mfgrs. And the one set doesn't bypass this automation.... and the other does. The latter one was working okay until I tried the newer set, and since pairing the new set, the other one now bypasses the script. And, yes I've unpaired/paired them, but I can try that again.
