Siri is working all other users voices as well

The Siri on my iPhone 15 Pro Max isn’t working properly. My elder brother has an iPhone 16 Pro Max, my younger brother has an iPhone 12 Pro, and my office colleague has an iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and an iPhone XS. All these iPhones are responding to our voices, which I think is an issue because their voice can respond to Siri, so they can get calls with Siri. My phone responding to Siri with my voice and all other voices as well . Disappointed..

Siri has NEVER been one user dependent on iPhone. If yours worked differently on iOS 17, that was not as designed.

Set up voice recognition

A Home app administrator (owner) can enable “Hey Siri” on each HomePod in the household. Setting up voice recognition helps Siri recognize the voices of different members of the household.

On the iPhone or iPad of the Home app administrator (owner), go to the Home app .
Tap a HomePod, tap , then make sure Listen for “Siri” or “Hey Siri” is turned on.
On the iPhone or iPad of each member of the home, go to Settings > [your name] > Sign-In & Security, then make sure Two-Factor Authentication is turned on.
On the iPhone or iPad of each member of the home, go to the Home app , tap , tap Home Settings, tap a user profile under People, then turn on Recognize My Voice.

To use voice recognition, you must allow Siri to use iCloud in iPhone or iPad settings. During setup, each person is asked to enable Siri and change their own device language to match the HomePod language if they haven’t already done so.

That's correct. Siri on iPhone has NEVER been user dependent. Siri will respond to anyone who wakes her.

No iOS 17 it worked only person who own the iPhone and after 18 now it’s working all voices, iPhones has apple intelligence so why they can’t develop this , and main security issue is we have already on the siri works on lock screen feature for easy work so we can get a call , but now all can get a cll my iPhone from siri , it’s a security issue from iPhone, when we off this feature. Why iPhone give this to us . Very disappointing..

But my 12 pro max has worked only my voice with iOS 17 anyway way this is very disappointing. What a big talk in apple intelligence but they can’t still this what poor ..

and i have already given the feed back but they not looking this .. disappointed ☹️

I believe you have a feature confused. The Talk and Type to Siri feature allows you to read a set of prompts aloud to train Siri to better recognize and understand your voice to respond to, but this does not mean only you can activate it. Others that sound like you can also activate Siri. The feature merely helps Siri better respond to you.

This is very disappointing, because Samsung has bixby and they can unlock the tab with voice recognition, we don’t need that , but at least they can improve the intelligence with voice recognition

On the android phone “Hey Google” also working on voice recognition but apple still siri works all voices what a shame 😔

Those instructions are only for the HomePod. Unlike the iPhone, it does have individual voice recognition. While there was, at some point, talk of extending that to iPhones, it has not yet happened.
