How do I fix 'Find My' being greyed out on my MacBook Pro?

Find my Mac continues to say "Off" I have tried restarting; Resetting NVPRM (may have acronym wrong); location services is on; signed out of I Cloud etc. any suggestions... MacBook Pro 2023 (M3 Max chip) thank you!

Restart your Mac in macOS Recovery. Use macOS Recovery on a Mac with Apple silicon - Apple Support

Launch Disk Utility in the Recovery app and run First Aid on the startup volumes to repair any damage.

Then restart your Mac normally and try to enable Find My again.
