Just bought a 2024 iMac and cannot get it to recognise the scanner in my Canon Pixma MG 7160 printer, it prints okay but no scan, any ideas people ??

if the latest driver from canons site do not work or is not supported by canon for that platform

VueScan Scanner Software for macOS, Windows, and Linux
many people had success with that piece of software
