Mail app is not working on my iPhone 15 after iOS 18.5 update

So earlier, I had posted that they had me delete the email account from settings then add the email again. It didn’t seem to work—even after a restart. Later, last night I restarted again, and since then, all has been good. (Hope I didn’t just jinx it.) If you want to try it, be sure you know your email password. Go settings—>apps (very bottom of page)—>mail—> mail accounts. Delete the account, then add again. Hope it works.

Same mine was just freezing at first first but has been locked out for dayssss. I’m going crazy. It logged out of all my accounts and won’t let me log back in… just keeps going back to the login screen. 😭🆘

More than 48 hrs later, mail app still working fine after deleting the account and reentering it. (I did not delete the app.) It did take the two restarts that I mentioned, but since then, all is good. Hoping I didn’t just jinx things.

Same issue. iOS 18.5 update yesterday, stuck email, now black screen after removing then reinstalling app. Starting to impact other apps as well with slowdown.

As of 6-5-2025 at 8am mine is not working and hasn’t been for like 2 days!!!

This worked for 15 minutes. Now not working again. Any other suggestions?

Solution: Go to app store and update the mail app. The auto update doesn't seem to be working.

Did you try updating the mail app in the app store? This worked for me this morning.

What else do you lose on reset? This usually causes me more problems than it fixes.

Same here - iPhone 15, iOS 18.5 update and after upgraded on 200GB storage plan

I am having the same issue on my iPhone 13 since the 18.5 update. Lockup in mail and I have to reboot to free it up. Why and fixing?
