How do I know which carrier my iPhone is locked to?

If you go to Settings > General > About, it should tell you what carrier your iPhone is locked to. Note that if you purchased this iPhone used you were likely scammed and the standing carrier likely will not unlock it unless you are in good standing relation with them (their customer that signed the contract), and paying off the original contract or any bills. If so get a refund.

Sorry, there is no way for us to know which carrier your phone might be locked to.

If you have purchased a used phone, you will need to contact the previous owner to ask them which carrier they were using......AND.....also ask them to contact the carrier to have the carrier unlock the phone.

Even if you might know who the carrier is......the carrier will NOT unlock the phone unless you are the original customer.

Unfortunately, we see multiple requests like yours every day on this user-to-user site, and more often than not, the user finds out that they bought a worthless phone which cannot be unlocked because the original owner disappears quickly once they have your money in their hands.

Ask whoever you got the phone from. If they don't know, the smart move would be to return it and get your money back.

Most carriers will not remove the lock if you are not a current customer in good standing.
