Unable to delete Tab Groups on Safari

The manual says to: "Delete a Tab Group: In the sidebar, Control-click a Tab Group, then choose Delete"

When I attempt to do this, nothing happens. I see no options to edit or delete a tab group. Can someone help me? Tab groups are a feature I would really like to use.
