Why does Gmail detect a virus in Pages-created PDFs but not Google Docs-created PDFs?

I typed up my resume using an apple program called pages. then I saved it as a pdf. and when I attach it to an email in gmail it says virus detected. There's no virus. I wrote this resume from scratch. So I went to google docs and pasted my resume into an empty document and saved it as a PDF to the desktop, and then tried to attach it to a gmail email and this time it didnt say virus detected. So is Pages creating PDFs that make gmail think there is a virus? Please help.
