Cannot edit tags in AAC purchased files

When I purchase music with iTunes I usually like to edit the tags (titles, composer names, etc.) so they fit my organizing system better. Most recently purchased music seems to be locked so that I cannot edit some of the tags anymore. Is this new? Is it now impossible to edit tags in purchased tracks (disc name was OK to edit, but not track title or track number)? Unhappy about that.

iTunes Store still won't display full song titles? Why can't a billion dollar company like apple fix a simple problem like song display in the iTunes Music store? If a song has more than one mix, there is no easy way to see the full title? I'm not talking about my personal library, this is when I want to give Apple my money to buy a few songs. If Apple ever sold packaged food, the FDA might step in since Apple would only write some of the ingredients on the outside of the package and the rest you would see once you paid for it? :) Will
