Piano roll keeps jumping around when I punch in notes

Laptop user here. I do not have a MIDI keyboard, and use my computer keyboard to manually enter notes onto the piano roll when I'm programming an instrument. It happens about 50% of the time that when I hit "Command + click" to punch the note in, the playhead jumps about 10 measures to the left or right. This is extremely distracting and frankly drives me batshit. Is Logic aware of this bug and are any efforts underway to fix it? It's been this way as long as I've been a user, over 2 years.

Sometimes moving the playhead to the measure I'm working on will help, but it's not a consistent solution.

MacBook Air, macOS 15.4

Thank you for taking the time to reply; I have checked and those settings are selected. Trying to attach a screen recording. But if we look at one of those notes, for example, the playhead will instantaneously jump about 10 measures to the right, and it does this for every single note I try to input. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for when it happens. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
