How can I fix Greek autocorrect on my iPhone 16 Pro Max?

I recently purchased a brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max. Despite having all relevant settings enabled — Auto-Correction, Predictive, Greek keyboard and dictionary installed — autocorrect in Greek does not work in any app.

I have already tried the following steps with no success:

– Changing system language and switching back to Greek

– Removing and re-adding the Greek keyboard

– Restarting the device

– Resetting keyboard dictionary

Nothing has resolved the issue.

This seems to be a software-related bug in the iOS version for new devices.

Expressing or conveying visual experiences effectively through these forums may be challenging. The underlying visual issue on your iPhone cannot be accurately diagnosed online. Factors such as your iPhone's specific settings, visual defects, and potential hardware problems cannot be assessed through this method. For more personalized and in-depth assistance, I recommend securing a Genius Bar Reservation and exploring the various support options provided by Apple.

Try enabling Greek autocorrect on an older iPhone running the same iOS version (ideally iOS 18.x). If it works on the older device but not on your 16 Pro Max, this confirms a device-specific issue.

Sometimes third-party apps won’t support certain language features, but Greek autocorrect should work in Mail, Messages, or Notes. If it fails even there, it’s a system-level issue.

Since you've ruled out settings, this is the most productive next step:

  • Visit Apple’s Feedback page
  • Submit under iOS > Keyboard/Input
  • Include your device model, iOS version (Settings > General > About), and list the steps you’ve already taken.
