How do I fix text jumping and insert blank pages in Pages on iMac with Monterey 12.7.4?

I am having trouble with inserting a blank page between pages.

Also, even if I have the page saved, the text sometimes jumps to another page.

Pages not displaying text contents iMac, purchased in February of 2025, running with Sequoia 15.3.2, does not display text contents of existing Pages documents when App is opened. Contents are there but text not displaying, as evidenced when Command/A is used to discover text in the document. In order to force the contents to display the computer has to be restarted. However, this solution lasts just for one use of the Application. Even creating a new Page document text does not display until the computer is restarted.

Pages Whatever instructions are on the internet or in Apple, Macbook Pro 2021 cannot make Pages open with a blank template even when set correctly in Settings. Just a button at the bottom of the screen with word New Document. Want to open Pages, and have blank template to be there automatically and ready to type. This has been the problem since Monterey and continues with Ventura.

Odd Pages Text format bar display issue (double-image) MacBook Pro updated to version 13.2.1 of Ventura just two nights ago. Ever since, when I use Pages, whether with a new document or open a document to edit, the Format sidebar for Text - where the little box for the font size shows - it is now double-printed along with the double arrows on the side of the box. The only easy way to change font size now is to use the command key and "+" or "-". Typing directly in that font size box kind of works - except you cannot see what you are typing. YES - I have rebooted the MacBook Pro. I have closed and restarted Pages. I have tried multiple documents and created new documents. Nothing changes this display issue. I have submitted a report via Feedback Assistant as well as the Pages feedback website (which doesn't collect much data and has no way to submit a screenshot).

Provided you are in a default word processing document, begin by View menu > Show Invisibles. That will enable you to see your page breaks as the representative blue line below:

To insert a new page before existing text on the next page, place your insertion point before the first letter of text on that next page and then choose Insert > Page Break. To avoid confusion, press shift+cmd+i to disable Show Invisibles. Any text on that original next page is now on the page after the new page insertion.
