This just happened to me today. I don’t have a resolution, but I thought I would give a little more explanation as well.

I am on iOS 18.5. I’m going camping this weekend so I had my phone in airplane mode because no cell service no Wi-Fi. We came home last night. This morning when I checked my phone, I have no safari tabs. I went from having 167 to 0. I did not delete them. I did not have Safari set up to automatically hide tabs. I tried clicking on the + and none of the recently closed showed up. Now, if I go to history, I can find some of them. But the point of leaving them open with so that I could get back to them quickly instead of trying to remember if I looked at it last week or last month.

My phone does say my last iCloud backup was at 10:24 PM last night. But I don’t know how to use that to get my tabs back.
