iPhone 16 Pro Max Bluetooth and CarPlay issues after software update

Has anyone else been having software issues with the iPhone 16 pro max? I keep having Bluetooth connection problems, like drops, unable to connect, or not disconnecting from devices. My phone also won’t work with the CarPlay option. There have been other issues but these are the most common ones. All of this started after the first update, so I’m wondering if it’s just my phone or is there a system problem?

I have not experienced any problems like this. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max on iOS 18.5. Are you using a wired or wireless connection for CarPlay? Have you tried removing the phone from CarPlay and the car from your settings as well and setting that back up again? Have you verified the steps in your vehicle's owner manual to pair the device with Bluetooth and using CarPlay. I know the method to connect to wireless CarPlay in my vehicle turns Bluetooth off for the phone, but leaves it connected if using media from the phone if I am not using CarPlay. If not using CarPlay, then the phone stays connected for CarPlay. It is kind of strange the way those connections work sometime.
