Why didn't a verification code appear on one iPhone but appeared on other devices?

I have 3 iPads and 2 iPhones. I was on a banking app and the sent me a verification # to confirm my identity to change a setting. The # immediately appeared on my iPad but did not come on my iPhone. It did appear on my wife’s iPhone but ont the other 2 iPads. I don’t think that’s ever happened before.

Why can't I receive Apple verification codes on my trusted phone number? I suspect Apple are using an old "trusted" phone number, even though MY "trusted" number is saved in my data. They say they are sending codes, but they do not arrive, and if I request to use SMS, those codes never arrive either. I can't log into my Apple ID because the verification code is being sent to the wrong number I want to set up a new iPhone. But it’s sending my verification code on a number I do not use. What should I do? [Re-titled by Moderator]

Verification code is being send to a different phone number instead of my trusted phone number In Appstore to update or download apps it wants my Apple Id password and then sends a verification code to my other trusted Iphone but I don’t have one. So when i select “didn’t get a verification code” it says to send a verification code to my trusted phone number but this number is wrong and I don’t know why. I went to settings and there the trusted phone number is right. I logged out of Appstore and then logged in but the trusted phone number stays the same and its wrong. I don’t have this number anywhere.
