the recovery server could not be contacted
Hi all
I really hope someone can help me with this.
My iMac will only boot to macOS Utilities. I have a iMac Mid 2010 that had High Sierra OS. Version 10.13.6 Processor 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7. Graphics. ATl Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB Memory 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3. I did a complete erase of my HD and I have tried Reinstall macOS (Reinstall a new copy of macOS) through macOS Utilities but I just keep getting ''the recovery server could not be contacted'' I have checked my date and it is corrected, I tried the https option by taking out the 'S' thats in the installer log, still did not work. I also tried to re-install the iOS again using the internet recovery mode using option command and R this did not work. When I keep press on Option key only when powering up computer the only drive that comes up to boot to is the OS X Base System showing.
I currently have iMac 24-inch, M1, 2021 macOS 15.5 (24F74) I can't download High Sierra on my current iMac. how can I create using a usb stick to make a bootable installer if i can't do it on my current iMac?
PS: There was no problems with my iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010) before I erased it I just wanted to do a clean up on it thats all. I worked perfectly fine before.
Thanks everyone
Iain
