Why can't I remove a shared folder from Files on my iPhone?

I can't remove a shared folder, instead I get the following error message:

The Operation Can't Be Completed.

No valid file provider found with identifier 'com.apple.CloudDocs.i-CloudDriveFileProvider/29C08CAB-3440-47E1-BC94-3D8D2C20B88F'!

The folder survives iOS updates, reboots, and everything else.

Icloud drive isn't syncing "sycned" files I've been using icloud drive exclusively to share files with my windows PC, macbook, ipad pro and iphone. Recently, I added a number of files to the drive (sum ~100GB) via my windows PC. After about 3 months of waiting, none of these files have synced, and I've noticed some other folders in my drive are now no longer syncing either. Further, some files which have been synced in the past, are no longer synced - and there are some files which say they are synced on my windows PC, but are not synced to any of my other devices. On top of all of this, there is extreme discrepency in the synced files when I compared my mac, phone and online drive accessed via chrome. All of my devices have syncing enabled, and are on the most recent versions. This all USED to work flawlessly. I pay for the 2TB teir, so storage limits are not an issue. Any ideas of why this is an issue and how I should go about fixing it? Or is it time I go elsewhere? Thanks,

iCloud Drive not syncing files across devices Hi Apple Community! We have a couple Macs, iPhones and iPad, all have been updated to the latest operating systems. We are heavy users of iCloud Drive and have enabled Advanced Data Protection. We are multiple users with our own Apple IDs and we share folders on iCloud Drive. Just in the past days we've noticed instances where iCloud Drive files on one device are not up to date. Rebooting the device gets the files to sync, but this is concerning because we might unknowingly be using an old version and even worse end up with data inconsistencies. Thanks!

I'm not able to create a shared directory -- I created an empty folder and tried to share it, so that a friend can share pictures with me and others. The finder dialog just says "Preparing folder..." and this does not end. I pay for 2 TB of iCloud storage, and am only using 560 GB, so lack of storage isn't the problem. And I have also tried this with a folder that has one small file, same results. I'd be grateful if anyone has a fix or workaround for this bug! thanks in advance.

Maybe because it’s not your folder… whoever it shared what was in it to, that might be there folder. Hit and run

It is a folder I shared with someone, not a folder someone shared with me. When I click on it, I get in to the main directory of my iCloud.
