Whenever I try to back up my iPhone 15 Pro Max, it seems to take forever. Twice now the backup has been running for over 15 hours before I need the phone and have to close the back up.
Why should it take this long please?

Don't know why it's taking so much time via iCloud. Could be your connection.
Try a hard reset of the phone. Volume up...volume down. Push power button until the Apple logo appears.
That could help.
In any case, if you are backing up to a PC regularly, you really don't need to backup to iCloud. Turn off iCloud backup.
Are you backing up to iCloud or your computer?

When I back up to the iCloud on my PC, the backup only takes a few minutes. When I try to backup on the phone to the iCloud is the problem. I keep getting a message on my phone reminding me that the phone has not been backed up for X number of weeks.
Not really, but I find that backing up to iCloud takes up space needlessly on iCloud and that space is probably better used for other things. And sometimes, when it is a big backup, it takes time given the fact that the connection is not always the best.
I guess it is a matter of preference. Since the early days of the iDevices (iPod, iPhone etc) the only way you could backup was on a computer, I just got used to backing up that way.
