I can backup my iPhone 14 Pro Max on demand but it won’t backup at night on a charger and my Wi-Fi and on a Lock Screen. Last time I checked it didn’t back up for 5 days. I have a 200GB plan and only use 2GB for a backup. No errors are listed.

check under settings, iCloud, iCloud backup, if it really is enabled.
Note, that the standard iCloud synchronization, e.g. for photos or calendar entries, etc. is not meant as backup, but backup contains only these things, which are not synchronized. So a backup is only needed, if there was anything changed in the settings, etc., and backups are usually relatively small, so your 2GB sound good.
