Can't sync my ipod shuffle to my Macbook air

I recently found my iPod Shuffle and want to download music from my MacBook to it. However, I can't seem to find any trace of the iPod on Finder or iTunes. Nothing. I can't sync it. The iPod is fully charged and has been tested before I bought it. I don't know what to do now. Any help would be great.

iTunes? Do you mean the Music app? Because iTunes hasn't been a thing on Macs since 2019.

Anyway, if running a recent version of macOS, it should appear in Finder.

It may appear in the Music App, but to sync you will need to to so through Finder.

If it's not showing up under Locations in Finder, open the Finder Menu ➜ Settings ➜ SideBar and make sure the option for "CDs, DVDs, and iOS devices" is checked there.

Also, how are you connecting it to the Mac?
