How can I retrieve lost music files on iPhone after iOS 18.5 update?

After the latest ios 18.5 update, a lot of my music has disappeared from my phone. I had over 2000 songs at one point and now only have just over 500.

sone of them are random ones I deleted from my phone ages ago.

I have tried to download my purchases again from the store but I only have a blank page.

I’ve followed the advice online and signed out of the account, rebooted my phone, made sure my library was synced etc without success.

I’ve uploaded a screenshot of the page I get from going onto the store and selecting purchases,

can someone help please ?thanks

Neil

Yes thank you, that’s not what I’m saying and isn’t the case.

The entire page is blank, where normally it would give me an option to select music and my partner’s purchases.

I have bought albums that are still new releases in the store so should be there.

Any movies I have bought are still there, it’s just music

thanks

Neil

Removed from the iTunes Store:

If this is purchased music and is dulled-out, then it may have been removed from the iTunes Store. So, visit the Music app, and see if you need to redownload them. Sometimes, items are removed from the iTunes library and they never become accessible again. This all has to do with licensing between Apple and the Music Studio; the same goes for TV and App purchases. This is something you would have agreed to, upon opening an Apple Account.

You are welcome.

Thank you for the screenshot.

Blank App:

What do you mean by “Partner”? Are you sharing these purchases? If so, have them update, as well. As for the app being blank, that is a bit strange. It might not be responding.

A. Close All Apps:

An app is likely not responding. So, close all apps. Hold you finger down as you swipe up. Then, close all of these open apps, by sweeping up quickly for all apps.

B. Restart your iPhone, Manually:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Select: General
  3. Scroll to: the Very Bottom
  4. Select: Shut Down
  5. Slide Finger: to the Right
  6. Wait: 30 Seconds
  7. Power One: the iPhone
  8. Try this Once More

Sorry I should have explained, my partner and I have family purchases set up. My account is the primary one.

After a further restart I now, no longer have a blank page. I’ve attached a screenshot of what I have.

Her music is there, and mine is completely blank as though I’ve made no purchases.

she hasn’t upgraded her phone yet and I suspect she won’t given the issues I’m having.

thanks for your time but I’ll just have to wait until Apple respond.

thanks

Neil
