No sound from speakers in GarageBand or Logic Pro projects

There is no sound coming out of the speakers when I am playing a project in GarageBand or Logic even though I have changed the audio settings

Can you tell us more about your setup (interface, speakers, cables, etc.)?

Double check the cables are set correctly
Is your Output for the Channel Strip set to Stereo Output?
Have you tried the Internal Mac Speakers? Do you hear it there?

Please try these things on a brand new project.
