How to back up photos before deleting on iPad 8th gen?
Can’t update my iPad 8th Generation due to large files (photos in messages). Can I safely delete these photos after backing up to iCloud?

Just an FYI - once you do another backup if will overwrite the current one. So those pictures will be gone.
You can look at google photos to backup your photos and then you can safely delete it from your ipad.
