Why doesn’t my Apple Watch show notifications?

When I get a notification my Apple Watch vibrates, but it doesn’t show my notification if I rotate my wrist. I can swipe down and see the notification that just came through, but I want to see it when I rotate my wrist. I still get the “time to stand”notifications or other fitness related ones, but not normal notifications that I would get on my iPhone. I ** not in theater mode, I ** not in do not disturb, and my Apple Watch is up to date as of 05/19/2025. Please let me know if more information is needed or what I can do to troubleshoot.

Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

When I'm getting a notification, my watch will vibrate and I have to turn my wrist right away to see the notification on my display, taping on it will open the notification.

But, if I do not raise my wrist right after receiving the notification in time, I will have to pull down the red notification icon to see the message.
