Will AirPods Pro 2 bought in Canada work with UK hearing aids?

My daughter lives in Canada and has offered to buy me the AirPods Pro 2 from Canada. The hearing aid and test function is not activated in Canada yet but is in the UK. Does that mean AirPods bought there won't work in the UK as hearing aids?
