AirPods Pro 2 available for use in Australia as a Hearing Aid
The TGA have approved for use in Australia on the 17 December 2024 ARTG-473488 but Apple have not made this feature yet.
Does anyone now why?

Re: Availability : AirPods Pro 2 ... for use in Australia as a Hearing Aid: Apple have not made this feature yet.

No. As Apple users, like yourself, no-one here can speak for Apple. As far as I know there have been no announcements from Apple. It seems the last update, iOS 18.3, and iPadOS 18.3, provided the AirPods Pro 2 hearing-aid feature for devices in the UK, (and the Apple Intelligence (AI) features were also turned on for all those who had not turned them off in a previous version).
If I remember correctly, the UK gave approval before the TGA. So it seems Apple is gradually taking care of all the "latecomer" countries. It may be wise to remain patient. Other countries besides Australia are still waiting.
Meanwhile, AirPods users can still use hearing features Apple introduced earlier, that do not require approval.
Eg: If you haven't tried it yet: You can "Amplify soft sounds and adjust certain frequencies for your hearing needs with Headphone Accommodations" Customize headphone audio levels on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
All the best :-)
