How to recover music downloaded from Mac that didn't transfer to a new iPhone?

You can sync that music that was not purchased in the iTunes Store to your new phone from the music library on your Mac. If the music is no longer on your Mac and you no longer own or have access to the original media (CD's, etc), then you technically no longer own the music. You never actually "own" music. You just have a license to it.
