I need to reset my Imac from 2015, with Monterey and Intel chip. The steps in"How to start up from macOS Recovery"; does not work, the computer just starts up as usual. What to do?
iMac 27″, macOS 15.3
The Win key = Command and the Alt key = Option
Try Command + R or.. Command + Option (Alt) + R
If your using a re-chargeable Magic keyboard, plug it into the iMac using the supplied charging cable and try again.
If you are using an AA battery wireless keyboard, dig out, borrow or buy an inexpensive USB keyboard and try again.
Har du ikke lavet en Time machine kopi på en extern harddisk?

Jeg har lige selv gendannet min gamle MacBook pro osse fra 2015 og osse med Monterey 12.7.6
Mener ikke at det er nødvendigt at bruge Command R til gendannelse, hvis man har lavet en Time machine?

I got a keyboard with an USB port, and managed til reset the Imac. Now I have a problem installing Monterey, because of a password on the harddisks, I asked for help for that in another topic.

I used the link under 6) "Start up from MacOS recovery", and press the buttons during start-up, and nothing happens, it just starts up as usual.
I did that, suspecting that the problem was, that the keyboard was not connected, but with the same result - normal startup. I'll find a usb keyboard.
I have a logitech keyboard, with no Command button. I used Crtl instead, with no succes. Do I need a mac keyboard, or can I use another combination of keys?
