How do I fix an unresponsive silent button on my new iPhone 16?

All the button does now is flash the black rectangle at the top of the screen. I sure I changed a setting I should not have. HELP PLEASE. Thank you.

Hey hindafrommiami!

On the iPhone 16, the “silent button” is actually the Action Button and can be set up to do different things, like toggle silent mode or launch other features.

Double-check it’s set to toggle silent mode:

  1. Go to Settings > Action Button.
  2. Make sure it’s set to Silent Mode.

Give that a try and see if it resolves the issue!
