New Mac Mini print fails on HP Laser Jet CP2025

Set up a new Mac Mini running Sequoia 15.3.1 and connected my old HP LaserJet CP2025 (no wireless capability). Printer shows available, but when I run a print job, I get a message on the printer queue that says Stopped..."Filter" failed. Printer was previously connected to an older MacBook Pro running the same OS and it worked fine. Only change was I replaced the printer cable with a USB C compatible cable. The HP website shows no driver updates available for any OS later than 10.

Incompatibility is the Culprit:

With no drivers available, then it’s just not going to work. And don’t use third-party drives (as scams and malware can come about). macOS 10.12 (Sierra) is the lastest driver: HP Color LaserJet CP2025 Printer - HP
